Our Story
Hi, I’m Shelby — a lifelong animal lover, certified veterinary assistant, and the heart behind Peeps and Paws Farm which was founded in 2021. My connection with animals began before I could walk. Growing up, I spent my days playing with neighborhood dogs and caring for the variety of pets my family owned.
By the time I was 8, I was walking dogs in my neighborhood, and by 12, I was volunteering with my mom at local animal rescues. It was there that I discovered my true passion — giving a second chance to animals who had been mistreated, misunderstood, or overlooked. I’ve always had a soft spot for the ones “nobody wants,” especially those with behavioral or medical challenges. They deserve love too — and I’m proud to provide that here at my farm.
After college, I decided to expand what had begun as a childhood passion into a full-time career. My animal care business has since blossomed into a thriving service built on trust, compassion, and dedication. I’m grateful to have formed lasting relationships with families who entrust me with their beloved pets and farms.
Today, Peeps and Paws Farm is home to over 100 animals — including dogs, cats, rabbits, gerbils, a Russian tortoise, a box turtle, a bearded dragon, chickens, ducks, goats, and pigs. Each one has their own story and has found a safe, loving forever home here.
When I’m not tending to the farm, I provide pet sitting, farm sitting, and dog walking services throughout Bethlehem, Hellertown, Coopersburg, Center Valley, and Quakertown. Caring for animals isn’t just my profession — it’s my lifelong calling.

As a certified veterinary assistant with hands-on experience in rescue clinics, I’m trained and comfortable administering all types of medications — from oral and topical treatments to injections. My background has given me the confidence to handle animals with a wide range of needs, including those requiring special care or medical attention.
I specialize in reactive and shy dogs, taking the time to earn their trust rather than rushing the process. I believe in reading body language, respecting boundaries, and creating a calm, safe environment for every animal. Whether I’m walking a high-energy pup or comforting a nervous rescue, I handle every dog with care, control, and confidence.
I take pride in forming a genuine bond with every animal I care for. By learning their personality, quirks, and triggers, I can quickly recognize when something feels off — whether it’s stress, discomfort, or a medical issue. Your pets aren’t just clients to me — they’re family. I make sure they’re not only cared for but also loved, spoiled, and comforted while you’re away.
Because I’m passionate about rescue work, I never charge for foster animals. If you’re helping save a life, I want to support you in that.
I’m comfortable caring for animals of all sizes and needs, from small pets to full farm care. Every service I offer is customizable to meet your specific situation — whether that’s different walk lengths for your dogs, flexible visit schedules, or tailored farm-sitting plans. Instead of charging per animal, my farm sitting rates are based on the time it takes to make sure every creature on your property receives the attention it deserves.
